Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness(group  courses available from March 2017 - see special offer page)

Cognitive BehaviourHolistic nutritional therapy is based on treating your body mind and spirit and the aim is to work with the whole person in order to address the root causes of any imbalance, or health issue rather than suppress the symptoms.

By unblocking any of your physical or emotional imbalances, the body can work in harmony to create optimal well being.

Most patients understand the reasons for having a healthy lifestyle but need support and guidance on how to change behavioral skills and poor choices into good habits and if they are applied everyday, will sustain the good habits required to maintain good health and prevent chronic disease or a lack of general well being.

How can Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) help?

Healthy life style changes are possible with appropriate interventions, which include nutritional counseling, exercise training, and stress management techniques to improve outcomes for patients at risk and those who already are suffering from chronic disease.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) can help you make sense of overwhelming problems by breaking them down into smaller parts, not just for Nutritional issues, but for stress, anxieties, panic attacks, anger management, and other negative patterns you wish to address that are causing you problems.

What is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy?

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave.

CBT is goal-orientated and focused by definition: To correct problems in thinking and behaviour that cause emotional distress and perpetuate a mal-adaptive pattern( negative thoughts and habits).

Cognitive BehaviourAt the beginning of your therapy, the specific problem to be focused on is identified, and the goal of the therapy is explicitely acknowledged.

The therapy relationship is collaborate and goal orientated, and the focus on thoughts, beliefs, assumptions and behaviours is key in CBT.

The goal is for you as a person to develop more realistic and rational perspectives, and make healthier behavioural choices. Specific techniques, strategies, and methods are used to help you to focus ad achieve the goals they have identified.

CBTCBT aims to stop negative cycles that can affect how you feel both physically and emotionally, and create changes that can help you deal with them in a positive way to improve the way you feel and take action to make the positive changes you wish to focus on. CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle.

What is Mindfulness ?

Mindfulness is a very simple concept and means paying attention in a prticular way , in the present moment and is a technique used worldwide to help people cope with stress, pain, anxieties, and illness. At AME4CHANGE , It is used in conjunction with CBT. You will be taught a practical way to notice your thoughts, emotions, and feelings. In a world where it has become normal to feel miserable, mindfulness techniques can teach you how to feel differently in a challenging world.
